In Time

I know that I should look,
but it is beyond painful
to glance ahead.

It takes time.....

In quiet moments I see
what will be and my
heart thunders in fear.

I have felt the agony
and wept at the loneliness.

Denial becomes my covering
and I find quiet in 'Please no,
it cannot be.'
