A New Path.
On January 18, 2008 my husband Al was diagnosed with colon cancer and our lives changed in an instant. Fear became my shadow companion from the moment we were told....
The love of friends and family and their constant prayers pulled us through.

Al was fast-tracked for surgery and after a brief healing time, was started on his chemotherapy treatment. He was amazing! Always being a healthy, active man, he reaped the rewards during his treatment. He breezed through his months of chemo with minor issues. In the beginning I kept waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop......but it never did.

We had seven months of remission. We began to relax and our lives returned to the familiar 'normal' stage. Each CT scan was encouraging.....until the last one. It suggested that the cancer might be active.
We decided it was time for a holiday to renew our strength for the possible fight ahead.
So, let the plans begin!
